Yes peach shortcake. surprised?<br /><br />The grand kids started school Friday. It's Emily's (the oldest) last first day. She will be moving on to high school next year. Where did the years go. It seems like it wasn't that long ago that her mother was in high school. So sad :( and happy too :) all three kids are great kids with their own talents. Emily is an A student and we are hoping for a basketball scholarship. She loves the game and would play it year round.<br /><br />She was in the 7th grade last year and played on the eighth grade team. She then went on to AAU and then a summer league and Gus Macker. Now that school had started she's playing volleyball and then back to basketball.<br /><br />William is into soccer and he is a really good artist. He mainly works in pencil. It looks like comic book art to me with 11 year old boy humor. He is the cutest boy in his class (grandma bragging) and the girls love him. Hmmmmmmmmmm maybe I should look into that. <br /><br />And last but not least Carson. Carson the youngest plays soccer, too. He takes piano lessons and seems to be sticking to it. I took one book and mom let me quit. I now regret it so I hope Carson continues to love it. He says he wants to play football but his parents so he has to wait until junior high. Starting so young as they do is dangerous and not safe for seven year old. Had bball games Saturday and Sunday. My granddaughter had a great basketball weekend. Sat. morning she won a hoop shoot and gets to on the the next level. Then had a bball game where she shot in double digits and on Sun. had a game where she shot 2-3 point baskets and had double digits again. Way to go Em. and she is only 13.&nbsp; The oldest grandson had a game on Sat. that was cancelled. The whole team showed up and then found out&nbsp; no game. He is on the Fifth grade team. I cut my Christmas card list down because I make my cards and I didn't get enough done for my list.<br /><br />Got a e-reader from Santa and I am having a heck of a time with it. We have wireless but my DH can't remember the password so I can sign on. I am going to have to find a hotspot to get on line. It has a saduko game on it but I really suck doing anything with numbers. You put the ink on the stamp spritz it quickly with water, stamp and dry with a heat gun.<br /><br />The background was&nbsp; made with a cuttlebug embossing folder and colored with Ranger dusty concord (my new favorite) ink. I was told it is really good. I went to the Columbus Expo in Columbus, Ohio and went directly to the stamper anonymous booth. Wendy Veah was there, I know I gushed and probably said her name wrong but I was so suprised to see one of my favorite designers in person that I was like a teenager and a rock star.<br /><br />She signed her 'make art, studio 490 style' (after I bought it) It says "Diane Make Art! Wendy Veah"<br /><br />I also bought Tim's fanciful flight die and made an Easter card out of it. I made an embossing folder and embossed one layer and added a die cut butterfly on top. I've got to get to town and buy the backing for mom's memory board. I try to make her one for each season and she still has her fall leaves up. I'm trying to make it sturdier each time. She seems to always tears it apart at the bottom corner that she can reach from her bed. She is putting the remote control for her TV in the pocket and it wasn't made for that. For anyone that doesn't know. Mom is in a nursing home. She had a stroke about 6 years ago during her third open heart surgery. <br /><br />William has a ball game today, too. Since the library changed my hours I can't get to all the games and Cristi said Emily is doing so much better this year. I hate my job when it makes it impossible to get to the kids functions. When Cliff gets his business going I will be quitting faster than you can say "good-bye". Most of them had nothing written on the back and we have no idea who they are. The little girl against the house is Margaret Elizabeth Baker, age 10 month forn Feb 1st 1917. The other picture looks like it might have been taken maybe at a fair. The back has (J.J. Wolf The leading Photographer Lancaster Ohio.
